Sweetwater Wetlands Park

Our daughter, son-in-law and grandpup were able to come visit for a few days in early January! It was so nice to have them with us as Covid-19 has certainly made visiting difficult. While they were here, we visited Sweetwater Wetlands Park. Since the grandkids were out of school, we took them with us. What a fun time we had! The weather was perfect! This is a manmade wetlands habitat of more than 125 acres. We saw so many interesting things including lots of birds such as red-winged blackbirds, blue heron, white ibis, hawks as well as some ducks and alligators! In addition to socially distancing, we wore masks but usually removed them while we took pictures. What a GREAT day! We all had the best time!

What a beautiful place to be on a cool but comfortable January afternoon!

There is a huge alligator on the other side of the pond!
